Role Purpose:
The CMS leads a three-strong Court & Membership Team reporting to the Chief Executive and is a key member of the Senior Management Team. The CMS role enables and supports the governance and leadership of the Company by the Court and manages and supports the Company’s 2,500 strong membership. It also includes planning and delivering a series of annual Company events and overseeing Company communications.
1. Essential Criteria
Experience in Governance and Administration:
• Significant experience in providing high-level administrative and governance support to senior leadership teams, boards, or committees, preferably in a membership or charitable organisation or other similar setting.
• Proven ability to prepare, organise, and distribute relevant briefings, instructions and paperwork for committees including agendas, minutes, reports, and other relevant documentation with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Leadership and People Management:
• Demonstrable experience in managing and leading a small team effectively, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development. Ability to motivate, mentor, and guide direct reports, fostering a
collaborative and productive work environment.
Stakeholder Management and Diplomacy:
• Proven ability, credibility and authority to manage and deliver services to stakeholder audiences, ensuring high levels of engagement, satisfaction, and support.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior and key stakeholders, internal and external. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of diplomacy, capable of navigating complex relationships and sensitive
situations with tact and professionalism.
Event Planning and Coordination:
• Experience in planning, organising, and delivering high-profile events, including
liaising with key stakeholders and VIPs/distinguished guests. Ability to manage
multiple, concurrent projects and events, ensuring they are executed to the highest standard.
Communications:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare and
present clear, concise reports and briefings for senior stakeholders.
• Competence in managing internal and external communications, including social media platforms and organisational websites.
Financial and Budget Management:
• Experience in managing budgets, including those related to governance functions, committees, and events. Ability to handle financial records and provide accurate reports and analysis for senior management and committees.
2. Desirable Criteria:
The successful candidate is likely to have experience or qualification in the
following areas:
• Relevant Professional Qualifications: educated to degree level (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of or Experience with Charitable or Membership-Based
Organisations: Previous experience with a charitable or membership organisation, particularly one with a historical or military focus, and a good understanding and knowledge of the legal and governance requirements of charity will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Digital Platforms and Content Management: Familiarity with
website content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms to
ensure effective communication with members.
• Crisis Management and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage unforeseen situations, solve problems quickly, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of Fundraising and Benevolent Work: Familiarity with benevolent
fund management, including casework, grant distribution, and liaising with military charities or similar organisations.

Role:
The Senior Adviser (SA) will undertake the following priority tasks, as well as any others identified by the General Director:
- A Subject Matter Expert with experience in providing support to MoD on risk management, business continuity, and crisis management.
- Able to leads the effort to achieve the transformation objective through helping to create an effective and current business continuity community.
- Has experience in managing and maintaining business continuity management capabilities.
- Adopting Joint Force Command (JFC) processes to consistently automate and supervise information security controls, testing, and risks.
- Experience in identifying and monitoring critical risk issues and the implementation of the mitigation techniques necessary for their resolution.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and assist primary stakeholders in the implementation of security controls (such as internal assessments)

Three UK Defence Advisers (1* or Senior Civil Servant) to support the development of the Assessment Center, conduct interviews, assessments, and act as coaches to support the KSA MoD Transformation Program.
The Advisers will support one of three core aspects of the Assessment Center mandate as outlined below, and applicants should specify which role they would wish to be considered for.
• Role 1: Assessment Centre strategy, operational processes, supporting technology, analytics and reporting to develop the operating model and capabilities within the Assessment Center team. This role will also support the development of the career path for Assessment Center staff.
• Role 2: Support the development of new assessments for Professional Military Education, Military Attaché roles, promotion, and assignments (officers and enlisted). This role will work closely with CGS J1 and J7 and the Forces equivalents.
• Role 3: Support senior leadership selection and development (military and civilian) working with existing local executive assessors and coaches. This role will also support the development of assessments for civilian high potential programs.
Required Experience and Skills

Role:
• A Subject Matter Expert in procurement operations across contract management, requisitioning,
inventory, supply management, FMS.
• Must have experience in contract development, framework agreements, contract negotiations, project implementation, inventory management, and invoicing.
• Must have an ERP experience in all appropriate procurements areas (such as POS, RFI, RFQ, RFP, Framework agreements), and able to work in developing such systems for the departments.
